Do you have experience within a Manufacturing environment working with Import and Export regulations? Are you motivated and enjoy a challenge? If so then this is the role for you! We are currently recruiting for an Export Trade Compliance Controller to work for a prestigious manufacturing organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent.
This Export / Logistics Trade Compliance Controller will have responsibility for classifying and assigning correct Commodity Codes, Trade Tariffs, Export Control Classification Numbers and Export Licenses (SIEL, OGEL, OIEL) with little supervision.
You will require the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of International Import/Export regulations as well as Export Control
- Knowledge of Import dedicated software systems would be a great advantage
- A high level of data entry skills
- Patience, tolerance and flexibility towards other cultures and different ways of working
Your main duties - Your role will involve you carrying out daily administrative tasks, whilst following HMRC regulations to enable to collate policies and procedures within the organisation for AEO application submission. This can also include booking meeting rooms, visitor registrations and stationary orders.
You will require in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Commodity Codes, Trade Tariffs and Export Control Numbers, Export Licenses (SIEL, OGEL, OIEL) to assign to International orders. You will support the Trade Compliance Manager to ensure timely response time to relevant stakeholders surrounding the classification, also supporting the process efficiencies surrounding internal classification workflow, data maintenance on updates and queries from internal stakeholders on Commodity codes.
