We are recruiting a Senior / Experienced Mechanical Engineer. Part of a dedicated team responsible for designing, analysing, and supporting mechanical products across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and draft mechanical components and systems using CAD software.
- Perform calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity and safety.
- Support quotation costing, tender drawings, and technical documentation.
- Assist with project monitoring, liaising with production and customers, and ensuring smooth contract control.
- Provide technical support to sub-contractors and cross-functional teams.
- Maintain product data, Bills of Materials, and design risk assessments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Strong experience in mechanical design and engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Knowledge of machining, welding, and sheet metal manufacturing processes.
- Analytical skills, with ability to perform calculations and interpret technical data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work under pressure.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with DriveWorks or similar design automation software.
