CNC Machinist Glasgow Salary Highly Competitive The Miller oversees the operation of both CNC and manual machines, ensuring tasks are carried out efficiently. They inspect finished components directly from the machine to maintain quality standards. Additionally, they adhere to all health and safety regulations related to machinery use. Responsibilities of CNC Machinist: * Operate and adjust a multi-axis CNC machining centre as required. * Strong milling machining skills are essential. * Experience with ITNC 530 control, Heidenhain programming, right-angle heads, and heavy engineering manufacturing and setting. * Familiarity with Shop Mill programming is advantageous but not mandatory. * A minimum of 2/3-axis programming skills is required. * De-burr cast components following machining. * Conduct quality assurance inspections using reference charts. * Keep accurate efficiency records for machinery. * Perform manual statistical testing to ensure machines meet specifications. * Carry out safety checks and maintain a clean and organised workspace. * Complete all machine setup procedures. * Undertake routine preventative maintenance tasks.
