About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead and execute a strategic migration project from an on-premise data centre to AWS and Azure. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in both cloud environments and a proven track record of managing complex infrastructure transitions, automation pipelines, and hybrid cloud deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement the technical implementation of the data centre to cloud migration across AWS and Azure.
- Design and implement hybrid cloud architectures that align with business and security requirements.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation (AWS), and ARM/Bicep (Azure).
- Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployment across multi-cloud environments using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.
- Collaborate with application teams, security, and infrastructure stakeholders to assess the current state and define target cloud architectures.
- Migrate workloads, databases, and services from on-prem to AWS and Azure with minimal downtime.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks using CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
- Establish automated backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies in the cloud.
- Create comprehensive runbooks, documentation, and deliver knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps / SRE roles with enterprise-scale environments.
- Proven experience in cloud migration projects involving both AWS and Azure.
- Strong hands-on expertise with:
- AWS Services: EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudFormation
- Azure Services: Azure VMs, VNets, Azure AD, App Services, AKS, ARM/Bicep
Nice to Have:
- AWS and/or Azure certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional, Azure DevOps Expert).
- Experience with cost optimisation, FinOps, or cloud governance frameworks.
- Exposure to legacy system modernisation or refactoring.
