Innovate Agri Ltd is a specialist solar civils, solar field O&M and agricultural contracting business, based in East Yorkshire. We're not a large corporate - we're a hands-on, growing business, delivering our services and projects across some of the most productive farmland and solar sites in the country. We work with major clients across the UK and we're growing. Finance isn't a back-office function here it's central to how we make decisions.
This is a part-time Finance Manager role with genuine scope. You won't be buried in a large finance team. You'll own the function from purchase ledger to management information pack and your work will directly shape how the business operates day to day. If you're someone who thrives with ownership, hates loose ends, and wants flexibility without compromising on doing the job properly, this could be the job for you!
You will have overall responsibility of the company's finances, working directly alongside the Directors to provide:
- Clear, usable management accounts without over-engineering them
- Budgets, rolling forecasts, monthly P&L
- Financial analysis and KPI reporting
- Project and client profitability analysis
- Payroll, AP, AR, VAT and CIS returns
- Review of costs and estimates commercially curious, not just number-processing
- Management and mentoring of a small team
We are looking for someone who's done this before not necessarily in the solar or agricultural sector, but in a project-based or contracting environment where the numbers matter. We need someone who can hit the ground running, works without handholding, and spots a problem before it becomes one.
You'll be ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with 3-5+ years as a Finance Manager or Management Accountant and comfortable with QuickBooks or similar accounting software. High level Excel skills.
Personal Attributes
- Commercially aware able to interrogate project costs and challenge assumptions
- High attention to detail with a low tolerance for ambiguity in financial records
- Self-sufficient and organised, able to manage competing deadlines without close supervision
- Clear communicator, able to present financial data plainly to non-financial colleagues
- Proactive and hands-on comfortable working at pace in a growing business
Own the numbers, shape the business and make your mark!
