This is an exciting opportunity to support a 52‑year‑old male in his own home and to accompany him on the many varied activities he enjoys. He has an acquired brain injury which results in short‑term memory problems and poor awareness of danger, but he has a great sense of humour and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24‑hour one‑to‑one support to keep him safe.
  • Accompany him to sailing, swimming, flying with an instructor, pool, golf, theatre and cinema trips, arts and crafts and many other activities.
  • Perform some domestic duties; he attends to his own personal care.

Working Hours

Shifts are split into morning, afternoon/evening and night time, fixed by contract once agreed. Five permanent shifts are available, with plenty of opportunity for voluntary overtime. The post is full‑time, but part‑time positions are also available for those looking for an interesting and varied job that could be combined with a second job or agency work.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience is an advantage but not essential; training will be given.
  • An enhanced DBS check and a manual driving licence are required.
  • Evidence of the right to work is required for non‑UK citizens; the employer is not registered for sponsorship.
