KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The successful applicants must be flexible as the role involves working on a wide variety of projects within a small multi-skilled team.
- Translation of Product objectives into technical Objectives
- Creation of test methodologies to evaluate technical objectives
- Contribution to Failure Mode and Effect Analysis during concept review
- Design Verification Plan Creation and Reporting
- Diesel Engine Performance and Emissions development
- Software feature specification, calibration and verification
- Engine calibration creation
- Mechanical verification and validation of engine components and systems
- Failure analysis and defect resolution using industry-standard methods
- Technical reporting
- The role will require collaboration with all platform teams based at the Stafford facility
- Occasional overseas travel may be necessary as required by business needs

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential:
- Engineering Degree or other equivalent qualification/experience
- Experienced in engine Performance and Emissions calibration
- Knowledge of emissions measurement techniques, worldwide emission regulations and emissions measurement hardware
- Working knowledge of industrial diesel engine systems such as cooling, lubrication, air etc.
- Diesel engine component validation experience
- PC literacy, excellent use of all MS Office components
- High standard of written technical reporting
Desirable:
- Knowledge of hardware matching, fuel system optimisation and control system development
- Knowledge of Products and processes
- Experience of Vector CANape and utilisation for live engine calibration
