12 Months Stafford, UK Β£51.30/hr Umbrella Inside IR35

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The successful applicants must be flexible as the role involves working on a wide variety of projects within a small multi-skilled team.
  • Translation of Product objectives into technical Objectives
  • Creation of test methodologies to evaluate technical objectives
  • Contribution to Failure Mode and Effect Analysis during concept review
  • Design Verification Plan Creation and Reporting
  • Diesel Engine Performance and Emissions development
  • Software feature specification, calibration and verification
  • Engine calibration creation
  • Mechanical verification and validation of engine components and systems
  • Failure analysis and defect resolution using industry-standard methods
  • Technical reporting
  • The role will require collaboration with all platform teams based at the Stafford facility
  • Occasional overseas travel may be necessary as required by business needs

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Essential:

  • Engineering Degree or other equivalent qualification/experience
  • Experienced in engine Performance and Emissions calibration
  • Knowledge of emissions measurement techniques, worldwide emission regulations and emissions measurement hardware
  • Working knowledge of industrial diesel engine systems such as cooling, lubrication, air etc.
  • Diesel engine component validation experience
  • PC literacy, excellent use of all MS Office components
  • High standard of written technical reporting

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of hardware matching, fuel system optimisation and control system development
  • Knowledge of Products and processes
  • Experience of Vector CANape and utilisation for live engine calibration
