This position is for a seasoned project management professional who will support projects with substantial R&D value, moderate to complex in nature, and require limited supervision. The role involves program coordination, information technology, engineering, project management, or NPI, with extensive knowledge of project management software and the ability to facilitate planning sessions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver planning meetings for smaller projects with minimal supervision; develop a detailed work breakdown structure (WBS) across functional areas and translate the WBS into credible project and program plans while leading standard processes.
- Develop and produce program/project management schedules in Microsoft Project using approved tools and processes; capture activity information, identify relationships, and resolve schedule conflicts.
- Coordinate with Program Leads to schedule and support program control meetings and compression sessions; analyze schedule updates, explain consequences of changes, resolve logic errors, and recommend actions to address schedule problems.
- Create and maintain issues/action logs, risk registers/FMEAs, scope change logs, program work plans, and program cost tracking; provide workshop planning, execution, and follow-up support.
- Collaborate daily with project team members to emphasize robust planning to achieve on-time, on-budget delivery and required quality; provide administrative planning and follow-up for program teams, steering committees, and governance reviews.
- Train other Program Coordinators and project teams in program management processes and software; may create report packages and maintain a program website.
Qualifications
- Experience in program coordination, information technology, engineering, project management, or NPI; proven experience with project management concepts including charters, scheduling, planning, and on-time delivery.
- Proven ability to facilitate project planning sessions and manage project schedules; strong analytical and organizational skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of project management software (MS Project preferred) and MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and web publishing tools.
- A college or university degree or evidence of progressively responsible job-related experience in the relevant fields.
- Desirable: Prince2, PMP, or equivalent project management qualification; knowledge of company policies, processes, products, and customers.

- Location for this position is Peterborough, UK. Relocation assistance is not available; relocation costs would be the responsibility of the candidate.
- Travel to other Client facilities in the UK may be up to 10-15%.
