Orsted requires a GWO trained QHSE advisor with E.G. NEBOSH accreditation to work offshore on a week on week off rotation. To be based at the Barrow in Furness Site.
Offshore HSE Windfarm Advisor
Wind farm construction and operation:
- Ensuring safety during construction, installation, and ongoing maintenance of wind turbines.
Offshore wind:
- Maintaining safety standards on offshore wind farms, which can involve working at heights and in challenging weather conditions.
Developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures:
- This includes creating and updating safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a safety-conscious culture.
Conducting safety audits and risk assessments:
- Regularly assessing the safety of operations, identifying potential hazards, and recommending improvements.
Providing training and support to staff on safety practices:
- Ensuring that employees are adequately trained on safety procedures and best practices.
Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards:
- Staying up to date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and ensuring that operations adhere to them.
Promoting a culture of safety:
- Fostering a positive safety culture within the organization, encouraging employees to report hazards, and promoting a proactive approach to safety.
Managing incidents and near-misses:

Description:
- Drive a positive and proactive health & safety culture across the West coast region.
- Carry out health, safety & environmental audits, inspections, incident / near miss investigations where required.
- Write up and maintain evidence of the above within the respective system (Synergi).
- Support offshore emergency exercise and lead wash up / lessons learned meetings.
- Participate and support toolbox talks, pre-sail brief, back to work brief etc.
- Participate and contribute to all QHSE meetings.
Requirements:
- 1 week on 1 week off rotation.
- Based at the Barrow in Furness Site.
- Current GWO offshore certification.
- H&S related qualifications such as NEBOSH general certificate as a minimum, diploma or equivalent preferred.
- HSE experience offshore.
- Administrative skills, word, excel, PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills at all levels of an organization.
- Good team player.
- Confident.
