What You Will Do:
- Oversee on-site installation and commissioning of automated welding robots and fixtures.
- Lead complex manufacturing issue identification and resolution, including investigation and solution implementation.
- Project management β Full scope, development, budgets, resources and management of NPI or Improvement projects (Technology/Efficiency/Quality) from initiation to production and program completion.
- Facilitate the development of manufacturing process solutions work with functional teams, using a range of tools e.g. process flows, PFMEAβs, control plans.
- Promote lean and quality as a focus within the business.
- Monitor and report on project health, including issue management to ensure People, Quality, Velocity and Cost targets are achieved.
- Developing equipment specifications and installation requirements and ensuring that the equipment is safe and meets the needs of manufacturing.
- Work with facility teams to ensure sites have been suitably prepared in advance of equipment installation to ensure successful delivery and implementation.
- Work cross functionally with multiple stakeholders to drive DFM and best manufacturing practices.
What You Can Demonstrate:
- Extensive Experience In Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.
- Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, budgets and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project targets.
- Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.
- Production Equipment Installation: Experience managing and working with turn-key equipment suppliers to deliver automated production equipment.
- Expert Level In Judgment and Decision Making: Knowledge of process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance.
- Problem Management Process - MFG: Knowledge of manufacturing problem management processes, methodologies and techniques; ability to use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution.
- Technical Drawings: Confidently read and interpret technical drawings.
- Experience Of Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, fundamentals and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
What You May Have:
- Good understanding of building and construction equipment Assembly, Test or Finish processes and production.
- Experience with Control systems and industrial robot programming would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter would be advantageous.
- Experience of leading quality concern resolution with tools such as 8D, 5why, fishbone diagrams and other appropriate quality tools.
- 6 Sigma project leadership experience.
- Degree or equivalent experience required.
