About the Company A polymer additive masterbatch company. Responsible for Certificates of Analysis and collecting and interpreting data for internal/ customer lead projects. About the Role Test Engineer located in Wimborne, Dorset. 12 month initial contract but likely to extend. £18.19 / hr. umbrella Inside IRE35. 9-5.15 Mon – Thursday, 9-4 on a Friday. Step up from Test Technician. Someone that can do testing of electro mechanical devices and of wound dressings (and constituent parts). Not a biological or chemical role – it is electro mechanical. Work with Data Loggers, printers etc (can learn this). Produce data which is given to product engineers. If they have experience working as a Test Technician at a similar business, that would be great. Responsibilities Using characterization equipment such as FTIR, AAS, rheometer, Karl Fisher, polymer film extruder, lab line strand extruder, injection moulder, tensile and compression testing, DSC. Communicating between technical, sales, warehouse, maintenance, and production successfully. Involved in customer faced RD projects, trials, and NPD projects. Responsible for sourcing and implementing new production and testing equipment. Qualifications Experience as a Test Technician at a similar business. Required Skills Testing of electro mechanical devices. Ability to work with Data Loggers and printers. Preferred Skills Experience with characterization equipment. Involvement in RD projects.
