A Field Service Engineer will be home-based and travel to customer sites daily across the UK. You will utilise your technical expertise to calibrate, commission, and repair process weighing and measurement systems using F1 & M1 test weights, stamped flow meters, force calibration test rigs, and multi-function processors. You will also receive training to support Procon's full product range, including beltweighers and boiler leak detection systems, as well as specific calibration disciplines such as temperature, conductivity, pH, pressure, and magnet strength.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibrate, commission, and troubleshoot on-site process weighing systems using F1/M1 test weights, flow meters, and force calibration rigs
- Install and commission belt weighers and boiler leak detection systems
- Calibrate instruments for temperature, pressure, pH, conductivity, and magnet strength
- Perform off-site repairs of scales and balances at Procon HQ
- Complete service reports and calibration certificates before leaving site
- Ensure compliance with all HSE policies and procedures
- Support assembly and testing at HQ as needed
- Provide weekend cover (one in every three Saturdays)
- Collaborate with or support fellow engineers on joint service jobs
- Travel and overnight stays across the UK as required
Qualifications & Skills
- ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC preferred)
- Time-served engineer or equivalent hands-on field experience
- Strong background in service/calibration of process weighing equipment
- Proficient in fault finding on weighing systems
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostics and calibration equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- Valid UK driving license
