  • Overview This is an Assistant buyer role, requiring someone with extensive purchasing experience. System interaction, supporting with supplier issues and handling quotes. Assisting in resource projects, gathering data and quotations, and presenting their findings.
  • Leveraging Teamcenter for Change Notices and navigate various systems including Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, PROcure, Glovia, STMS, Finance@Work, CICT, EPIX, CPI/BIQ, Supplier Connect, and Lognet.
  • Requirement3+ years as Assistant buyer
  • Manufacturing purchasing/buyer experience
  • ERP system experience (SAP) & Teamcenter
  • Purchasing specific qualifications E.G. CIPS

We are looking for a driven and meticulous procurement professional to join our dynamic team, supporting the Procurement and Specialty Products Category areas in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Solicit supplier quotations, analyse cost breakdowns, update pricing records, and manage supplier communications.

• Ensure adherence to internal procurement procedures and industry best practices.

• Lead and support resource projects, resolve procurement challenges, and address invoice-related discrepancies.

• Coordinate supplier onboarding processes and foster strong, ongoing vendor relationships.

• Work in close partnership with the Site Buyer and contribute to the wider Specialty Products and Site procurement teams.

• Leverage Team Centre for Change Notices and navigate various systems including Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, PROcure, Glovia, STMS, Finance@Work, CICT, EPIX, CPI/BIQ, Supplier Connect, and Lognet.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance across quality, cost, logistics, development, and management (QCLDM) metrics.

• Oversee the end-to-end procurement cycle: negotiating supplier contracts, evaluating bids, issuing purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and managing inventory levels.

• Maintain up-to-date procurement documentation and uphold compliance standards.

📌 Additional Duties

• Provide backup support for the Legacy/Service Buyer during periods of leave.

• Assist the Direct Procurement team in preparing for audits, maintaining documentation, and contributing to internal and external audit processes.

• Purchasing Processes: Understanding of procurement regulations, workflows, and documentation standards.

• Logistics Coordination: Awareness of supply chain logistics and inventory management best practices.
