We are working on behalf of a Manchester-based membership client looking for a Software Tester to play a key role in maintaining quality across its digital platforms as the business accelerates delivery across web and mobile. Predominantly this role will be manual. However, they have a Playwright framework in place, so if you have some automation experience, or a desire to upskill in this area, this could be the right next move for you. This role sits within a fast-moving engineering function and will work closely with developers, product, and design to ensure features are delivered with confidence, consistency, and reliability.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating, maintaining, and executing structured test cases using modern test management tools
- Carrying out smoke, regression, exploratory, black box, and user acceptance testing
- Writing clear, well-structured Gherkin-style acceptance tests and scenarios
- Validating functionality for web (.NET), mobile applications (React Native), and backend APIs
- Using API testing tools such as Postman or Insomnia to verify backend behaviour
- Working closely with developers to reproduce issues, triage defects
