Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for a permanent role within a supportive nursing-home environment?
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) to join an established nursing home in the Rotherham area.
There are currently two positions available one Day Nurse and one Night Nurse making this an excellent opportunity for nurses looking for a permanent position with a consistent shift pattern.
The Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred nursing care while supporting and leading the care team during your shift.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing residents' individual nursing and care needs
- Developing, implementing and reviewing person-centred care plans
- Administering medication safely and accurately
- Monitoring residents and responding appropriately to changes in their condition
- Maintaining accurate clinical and care documentation
- Liaising with GPs and other healthcare professionals
- Supporting residents and communicating effectively with families
- Delegating responsibilities and providing direction to the care team
- Promoting dignity, independence and choice
- Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control
- Ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and effective care
- Leading the care team confidently and efficiently during your shift
What We Are Looking For
You will be a compassionate and confident Registered Nurse who is comfortable working within a team while also being able to take responsibility for the clinical delivery of care during your shift.
You will need:
- Valid UK nursing registration
- Strong clinical nursing skills
- Experience administering medication
- Good assessment and care-planning skills
- Excellent communication skills
- The confidence to lead and delegate to a care team
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- A compassionate and person-centred approach
- The ability to prioritise effectively in a busy care environment
Previous UK nursing-home experience would be highly desirable.
Hours & Shift Pattern
There are opportunities across both day and night shifts.
Day Shift: 7:30am 7:30pm
Night Shift: 7:30pm 7:30am
Expected hours are approximately 36hrs or 48hrshours per week, depending on the agreed working pattern.
