Are you an experienced Clinical Lead, Unit Manager, Senior Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager looking for your next career move?
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join the leadership team of a well-established 44-bed nursing home , providing high-quality nursing, dementia and end-of-life care.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious nurse leader who wants to play a key role in clinical governance, staff development and maintaining excellent standards of resident care within an established home rated Good by CQC .
Salary: £50,000+ per annum

A Genuine Clinical Leadership Position
Working closely with the Registered Home Manager, you will take responsibility for supporting the clinical operation of the home and providing visible leadership to the nursing and care teams.
This is much more than simply being the senior nurse on shift.
You'll have the opportunity to influence clinical standards, develop your team and help ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and genuinely person-centred care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day clinical management of the home
Providing strong clinical leadership to nurses and care staff
Maintaining excellent standards of nursing and person-centred care
Supporting, mentoring and developing nursing and care teams
Staff supervision, performance management and clinical appraisals
Supporting rota planning and effective deployment of the care team
Reviewing and maintaining person-centred care plans and risk assessments
Medication management, audits and clinical monitoring
Clinical governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement
Safeguarding, MCA and DoLS
Maintaining compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards
Supporting residents with dementia and complex nursing needs
Ensuring compassionate, dignified end-of-life and palliative care
Working closely with GPs, healthcare professionals, residents and families
Supporting investigations, incidents and clinical action plans
Deputising for the Registered Manager when required
Helping maintain a positive, supportive and professional culture throughout the home

You may currently be working as a:
Clinical Lead | Clinical Deputy Manager | Deputy Manager | Unit Manager | Senior Nurse | Senior Staff Nurse | Lead Nurse
Essential requirements:
Registered Nurse RGN or RMN
Active NMC PIN
Previous experience within a nursing home, elderly care or dementia nursing environment
Previous senior, supervisory or clinical leadership experience
Strong understanding of person-centred care
Knowledge of clinical governance and auditing
Good understanding of CQC requirements and Fundamental Standards
Medication management experience
Safeguarding knowledge
Understanding of MCA and DoLS
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to mentor, motivate and develop nursing and care staff
Passion for maintaining dignity, independence and choice for residents
Previous experience as a Clinical Lead, Unit Manager or Deputy Manager within a nursing home would be highly advantageous .
