We are seeking an experienced and professional Grinder to join a leading precision manufacturer in Wednesbury, Black Country.
A grinder uses various manual and automated machine tools that manipulate components to take microscopic surfaces off a component to create precision finishing. Its primary role is to perform precision finishing, achieving micron-level tolerances and mirror-like surface finishes that standard milling machines and lathes cannot provide.

- Upto £17 ph basic salary
- Overtime available with premium rates

- 28 days holiday
- Day work 0700 - 1600 Fri - 0700 - 1200
- 39 standard week
Key Responsibilities & Skills of Grinder:
- Cylindrical Grinders: Form shapes on the exterior of a workpiece rotated on a central axis, commonly used for finishing rods, bearings, and shaft
- Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve machine, tool, or material issues to optimise cycle times.
- Maintenance: Proficient in routine maintenance and preventive care of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Centerless Grinders: Secures a cylindrical workpiece between two rotating wheels without using a spindle, allowing high-speed mass production.
Professional Experience & Attributes of Grinder:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/batch work requirements.
- Team-oriented with a, proactive, "can-do" attitude.
- 2 years minimum working within a similar role
