We are seeking a press setter operator to work for a leading engineering company based in Tipton, West Midlands. The company operates within various arenas including aerospace, defence and automotive sectors, having built a reputation for quality of service over 30 years. The company is growing and needs skilled staff to help achieve its longer term goals. This role of power press setter operator is ready to start and full training on specific methods will be provided.

Contract and benefits of press setter operator:

  • Permanent Role
  • 38 hour week - Monday - Friday 0700 - 1600, Friday 0700 - 1200
  • Basic salary up to £32500 (£16.50 ph)
  • Overtime of 1.33 during the week, 1.5 Saturday and 2 x basic Sundays
  • Plenty of overtime available

The Role of press setter operator:

  • Working on power press machinery
  • Setting tooling and dies for each batch of parts
  • Operating press, ensuring batches run smoothly
  • Basic maintenance of machinery to ensure H&S is adhered to
  • Working on various brands including bruderer, bentley and HME

Key skills required for press setter operator:

  • Ideally hold a current PUWR certificate
  • Proficient in setting and operating Single Action Presses (30-125 tonnes)
  • And/or proficient in setting and operating Roll Feed Presses (30-200 tonnes)
