This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a professional team within a modern, clean, and well-run facility. A CNC Machinist is a skilled technician who sets up and operates computer-controlled machines to create precision parts from materials like steel, aluminium, and titanium. A CNC Machinist typically has the expertise to program, calibrate, and troubleshoot the equipment.
Key Responsibilities of CNC Machinist:
- Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines.
- Working with Heidenhain controls, knowing codes is required.
- Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings.
- Setting tools, understanding cutting speeds and feeds, and carrying out boring, drilling, and threading operations.
- Ensuring high levels of accuracy and consistency while working to tight tolerances.
- Confident use of inspection and measurement equipment including verniers, bore gauges, micrometres, etc.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
