Based in Kidderminster, we are recruiting for an experienced mechanical fitter to join a growing manufacturer. A mechanical fitter is a skilled engineering professional who assembles, installs, maintains, and repairs industrial machinery, hydraulic systems, and factory equipment. They work from technical drawings to precision-fit metal parts, troubleshoot, and use tools like drills and welding equipment.
The mechanical fitter will have some mechanical knowledge ideally from a manufacturing fitter background or similar industry. A willingness to learn and the ability to work to time constraints and customer specifications is essential, along with a working knowledge of using power tools, hydraulics, and electrics. MIG welding experience is not essential but desirable.
The package for the mechanical fitter role is dependent on experience, but will include:
- Competitive Salary - negotiable based on experience (weekly paid)
- Basic Hours - 39 hours a week - Monday to Thursday

Key responsibilities for the mechanical fitter role are:
- To assist in the building and fitting of various machinery.
- A working knowledge of using power tools, hydraulics, electrics, and completing MIG welding.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings/plans to build machinery to correct specifications.
- Working in a timely manner producing finished products to build process deadlines.
- Raise issues during the build process and record any changes.
- Completion of all required paperwork.
- To carry out and complete other duties as required in line with the needs of the business.
