We are seeking an experienced, professional and dedicated production manager for a Dudley based manufacturer. The role of a production manager oversees manufacturing or production processes, ensuring efficient operations, quality standards, and adherence to schedules. They plan production runs, manage resources, supervise staff, and implement safety regulations to minimise waste and maximise productivity.

The Production Manager serves as the first line of management for Team Leaders and operators on the shop floor, reporting directly to the Managing Director, and indirectly to the Operations and Facilities Director. This role involves closely collaborating with the Planning & Scheduling Manager to implement business objectives aligned with a five-year strategic plan. The Production Manager is responsible for setting and communicating departmental KPIs and ensuring they are met, and ensuring that the schedule from the Planning & Scheduling Manager is adhered to at all times.

Key responsibilities include focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and People, managing day-to-day operations, and supporting continuous improvement projects that align with organisational development.
