We are seeking an experienced Factory Operative to join a growing team within a well-known manufacturer in Dudley. This role is ideal for someone with any of the skills of: slitter, roll mill, band saw, overhead crane, rolling mill or machine operator.
Key elements and benefits of the factory operative role:
- 3 shift weekly rotation
- AM shift is 0600 - 1400
- PM shift is 1400 - 2200
- Night shift is 2200 - 0600
- Monday to Friday position
- Overtime available consistently
- Attendance bonus monthly
- Healthcare - including private doctor consultations and dentistry
The role of factory operative includes:
- Operate the roll mill machinery within a team
- Produce parts at the correct rate and report any issues with achieving that rate
- Take responsibility for the quality of the parts produced
- Keep production and quality related records up to date
- Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
- Perform and learn other skills such as overhead crane and slitting
Requirements to be considered for factory operative:
- Previous experience using rolling mill machinery or similar
- Be able to commit to 3 shift rotation shifts long term
- Live commutable distance to Dudley
- Slitting, overhead crane and FLT experience a distinct advantage
