We are seeking a professional quality inspector to join a well-established quality team who are looking to add to their division. The job role includes carrying out tests on precision made parts in the workshop, using hand-held measuring tools and computer systems like CMM's and Faro Arms. You will ideally come from a quality inspection, quality technician or quality assurance role previously.
Benefits/Contract info for quality inspector:
- Monday - Thursday 0700 - 1600
- Fridays finish at 12
- Up to £41,000 + basic salary but overtime at premium rates
- Overtime hours calculated at 1.33 basic pay

Quality Inspector Job Responsibilities:
- Inspects and approves processed precision parts by confirming specifications against drawings, CAD, Work Instructions.
- Conducting visual and measurement tests and communicating required adjustments to production setters/team leaders.
- Rejecting and putting unacceptable materials on non-conformance.
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs summarising re-work and waste, and inputs data into a quality database.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and training.
- Accomplishes quality and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.
Quality Inspector Qualifications/Skills:
- CMM experience - ideally with programming knowledge
- FARO arm and 3-D scanning distinct advantage
- Root cause analysis
- Knowledge of working with 5s, lean and continuous improvement
- Analytic skills
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Thorough understanding of quality systems
- Experience with measuring devices such as micrometers, gauges, computers, verniers, and other measuring instruments is essential
- One to two years quality inspector experience
