Based in Kidderminster, we are recruiting for an experienced fitter-welder to join a growing manufacturer. A fitter-welder is a skilled engineering professional who assembles, installs, maintains, and repairs industrial piping and conduits. They work from technical drawings to precision-fit metal parts, troubleshoot, and use tools like drills and welding equipment.

The fitter-welder will have some mechanical knowledge ideally from a manufacturing fitter background or similar industry such as handyman or caretaker. A background with using hand tools, basic electrics, tiling, construction or general manufacturing would be considered.

The package for the fitter-welder role is dependent on experience, but will include:

  • £17.25 per hour
  • Basic Hours - 39 hours a week - Monday to Friday
  • Annual Leave - 20 days plus bank holidays (plus 1 additional day after 12 months service)

Key responsibilities for the fitter-welder role are:

  • To assist in the fitting out, and maintenance of piping systems and structural steel products

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings/plans to build machinery to correct specifications.
