We are looking for an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to join a well-established welding company in Kidderminster. As a fabricator welder, you will be working with mild steel, steel, and aluminium fabricating and welding components from drawings. TIG welding experience is beneficial but not essential.
Contract and Benefits:
- Temp - Perm contract - with full time contract offered after successful completion of 3 month probation
- Monday - Friday role
- Weekday and weekend overtime available
- Working hours 40 - Mon-Thurs 0700 - 1600, Fri 0700 - 1315

Core responsibilities of a fabricator welder:
- Operating Equipment: Set up, maintain, and operate MIG welding machines and hand tools to create or repair metal structures.
- Reading Drawings: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine specifications and layout.
- Fabrication & Assembly: Cut, fit, and weld various materials typically mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminium into finished products.
- Quality Control: Inspect welds for strength, quality, and accuracy, ensuring they meet industry standards and project tolerances.
- Safety & Maintenance: Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols (PPE), and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Finishing: Use grinders and power tools to smooth, polish, or finish welded parts.
Key Skills required for fabricator welder:
- Proven experience working with MIG welding equipment
- Ideally have or can obtain codes of competence - TIG welding experience desirable but not essential
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings to a good level
- Willing to travel on rare occasions to client site for installs and maintenance
- Keen eye and hands on attitude
- Ideally come from a pipework or structural background
