Quality Manager Based in Kingswinford
£58,000 per annum We are seeking a quality manager for a leading manufacturer based in the Kingswinford area. Purpose of the Role of Quality Manager: The Quality Manager is responsible for operating the Quality Management System (QMS), writing procedures and processes to support the QMS development. Lead and undertake audits across all areas of the business as well as across the supply chain. Provide training and champion the Quality Management System. Work with suppliers to develop and implement best practices that emphasise defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements. Manage the customer specific requirements and offer technical support to suppliers, and lead a team of engineers and inspectors to ensure standards and met at all times. Benefits and Contract of Quality Manager: £58,000 salary Monday to Friday role 40 hours per week 25 days holiday + BHs Health assurance Pension Enrolment Key Responsibilities of the Quality Manager: Carry out supplier validation audits, with supplier support and supplier advanced product quality planning (APQP). Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements Assist in the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks Assist in new product launches to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of correction actions of supplier quality issues. Oversee effective implementation of the Quality Management System throughout the company, including any business accreditations Maintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business Analyse current and future procedural needs of the business Organise and manage the plant internal audit system and the corrective action reporting system Conduct Quality Systems audits and assist in training/guidance to other auditors Host external Quality System audits Provide training on Quality issues and business processes Coordinate the review of Quality procedures associated with plant continuous improvement initiatives Plan Standard Operating practices required under the overriding Quality procedures Maintain the Standard Operating Procedure content and coordinate the issuing of these documents Support other functional areas of the business including procurement, business services and design Uphold quality, health, safety and environmental standards, ensuring alignment with the company's policies and the requirements of the relevant standards (Quality ISO9001, Health and Safety (ISO45001) and Environmental (ISO14001) Key Skill Requirements of Quality Manager: Previous extensive Quality experience within a manufacturing environment Knowledge and understanding of quality standards, including ISO9000, ISO9001 and ISO14001 alongside H&S Lean, Continuous Improvement, 5s advocate Deep understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or ONC, A Levels, BTec Diploma Level 3 or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification Experience of dealing with customers and outside suppliers Experience of leading teams - ideally within a quality function If you feel you have the skillset and Kingswinford is a favourable location, apply today and a Innov8 team member will try to respond within 48 hours
