We are seeking a professional and experienced Lathe Machinist to join a precision engineering company in Wolverhampton. This company is heavily involved within the aerospace sector and due to growth are adding to their machining team.
Contract and Benefits of Lathe Machinist:
- £16+ per hour basic pay
- Lots of overtime at premium rates - average annual remuneration is £45000
- 40 hours per week
- Based on set day shift

Key responsibilities of Lathe Machinist:
- Set and Operate Capstan Lathe Safely and Effectively
- Monitor Machinery and Report Problems
- Monitor Coolant Levels and Top up as required
- Ensure one's own safety and that of others
- Cooperate with employer on OH&S training and guidance
- Do not interfere or misuse anything provided in the interest of health & safety
- Ensure PPE is worn when required
- Promote a health and safety workspace for all
Key attributes of Lathe Machinist:
- Two years experience in a similar environment operating capstan lathe or similar
- Read and Understand Engineering Drawings
- Set and Operate Tangi-Flow Roller Box Attachment
- Set and Operate thread rolling heads
- Set and Operate Die Heads
- Experience with Grinding and Forming tooling
- Experience with Exotic Materials (Inconel, Titanium, etc)
- Knowledge of Inspection Techniques and Measuring Equipment
- Good communication skills
