We are seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to join our Performance Chemicals business. This strategic position is responsible for developing and driving the Global Procurement Vision with key stakeholders. The individual will focus on strategy, execution, and implementation. This position will facilitate the development and execution of long-term strategies that will optimize quality, lead-time, technology, risk management, and total cost. The role will identify and use technology, improve processes and systems, and reduce overall cost of ownership and acquisition. This position will have a heavy focus on the strategic sourcing of raw materials and packaging components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop appropriate plans, business processes, and metrics in line with business objectives, balancing partner needs including cost, complexity and high service levels.
- Negotiate and implement agreements that enhance cost savings, improve service levels, mitigate contractual risks, optimize asset utilization, and build/improve overall value for Innospec.
- Guide strategies to focus on data driven analysis, thorough quantitative and qualitative decision frameworks and consider cross-functional impacts to various collaborators.
- Develop strong working relationships with suppliers and relevant internal teams to drive sourcing strategies that lower cost and risk to Innospec.
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance, quality, and delivery to ensure compliance and identify means to improve results.
- Provide high quality communication to senior management and for periodic and ad-hoc reporting on current operations and market changes, emerging risks, and actionable mitigation plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Procurement/Supply Chain, Finance or another business-related field, (master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of related experience, including 7+ years managing supply chain/sourcing activities such as strategy development, procurement, quality management, inventory management, and distribution.
- Experience required negotiating and managing Oleochemicals.
- Chemical raw material sourcing is required.
- 5+ years management experience in progressively challenging sourcing roles.
- Strong data and analytical skills with the ability to collect and interpret data to make informed decisions and take action.
- Must be able to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of procurement business processes and strategies.
- Proven track record of building and leading successful teams.
- Significant experience in all aspects of the sourcing/procurement lifecycle.
- Clear understanding of market trends and opportunities, including new technologies.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- SAP Experience (S/4HANA a plus)

- Approximately 10-20% travel
