Innospec undertakes ground‑breaking research into chemistries that can be utilised for important areas of performance chemicals; to increase the efficacy and sustainability of various fuels, personal care products, home care products, crop treatment and mining, etc. We have a vacancy for 3 Placement Students to join the Performance Chemicals Group within our Research & Development Team for approximately 12 months commencing in Summer 2026.
The roles will be mainly laboratory based and will involve, under appropriate supervision and training:
- Raw material evaluation
- Formulation development
- Method development
- Properties characterisation and evaluation
- Hands on product testing
You should possess an interest in chemical and formulation innovation and be studying towards a degree in chemistry or applied chemistry. You must be creative, eager to work in the lab developing your formulating skills, have good communication, presentation and organisational skills and have the ability to work in a team and under your own initiative.
