Here at innocent, we’re on a mission to make it easier for everyone to get more fruit and veg into their bodies. We started back in 1999 and since then we’ve gone from selling a few smoothies at a music festival to becoming one of Europe’s biggest drinks companies with around 1,000 people (and the B Corp seal of approval). It’s nice to be able to say things like that but we’re not patting ourselves on the back just yet. We want to show everyone that it’s possible to be a successful business while looking after people and the planet too, so we’re trying to get better in pretty much every way. And that’s where this job comes in.
Forecasting sits right at the heart of how innocent makes good decisions – from how much fruit we buy, to how we plan production, to how we grow across Europe. The Demand Manager sits alongside the Demand Planners in the Forecasting Team within our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) setup, collaborating across functions and countries to create consolidated insights from our European sales forecasts.
As Demand Manager, you will shape how forecasting works at innocent. You’ll create insight from European sales forecasts, set standards that keep our planning grounded and consistent, drive action to improve forecast accuracy and support the tools that make all of this possible. Your work will influence decisions ranging from fruit buying to long‑term growth, helping teams trust the forecast and use it well.
You’ll be:
- Creating consolidated insights from European sales forecasts to drive better decisions
- Owning and running the monthly forecasting processes that bring everything together
- Governing forecasting best practice to ensure consistency and quality
- Acting as a super user for forecasting systems and reporting tools
- Leading improvements to forecasting processes, documentation and training
- Partnering with demand planners to drive action on forecast focus areas
- Supporting system upgrades through testing, requirements and enablement
You’ll have:
- Demand planning or forecasting experience in a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment, and experience collaborating with commercial teams
- A solid understanding of forecasting, commercial and planning processes
- Strong numeracy and confidence working with data, including Excel, and ideally Power BI
- A disciplined and thoughtful approach to process and data quality
- Curiosity and drive to improve how things work, not just maintain them
- The ability to communicate insight clearly and bring others with you
- A track record of being proactive in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions
- Familiarity with planning systems (ERP/TPM systems are a bonus)
You’ll get:
- A Europe‑wide view of the business and how forecasts shape big decisions
- The chance to drive forecasting capabilities forward and shape best practice
- Close collaboration with demand planners, brand, category, revenue growth management (RGM), finance and technology teams
- Hands‑on involvement in forecasting system development and change
- Ownership of insight that feeds into procurement, reporting and senior decision forums
We want innocent to be a great place to work, so we do lots of stuff to make people feel at home and try to make sure everyone’s career is shaping up the way they want it to. There are plenty of opportunities to have a go at something new or take things further.
In exchange for helping us do business in the right way, you’ll get a solid rewards package that includes a salary, private healthcare, a target-based bonus, and a bunch of other nice things like a day off on your birthday. And yes, you get free smoothies.
We also know that not all our drinkers come from the same background, or think the same – so why should we? At innocent, we want to be a great place to work where a diverse bunch of people from all backgrounds can turn up and thrive. When we hire, we want all the juice, bits, and pulp that make you who you are.
Even if you don’t think you can tick all the boxes, if the job sounds right for you, come and throw your hat in the ring.
Probably best to get your skates on though, as we might close this early if we get loads of applications.
