Here at innocent, we’re on a mission to make it easier for everyone to get more fruit and veg into their bodies. We started back in 1999 and since then we’ve gone from selling a few smoothies at a music festival to becoming one of Europe’s biggest drinks companies with around 1,000 people (and the B Corp seal of approval). It’s nice to be able to say things like that but we’re not patting ourselves on the back just yet. We want to show everyone that it’s possible to be a successful business while looking after people and the planet too, so we’re trying to get better in pretty much every way. And that’s where this job comes in.

What you’ll be doing

  • Culture: You’ll be part of the heart and soul of innocent, responsible for opening Fruit Towers 5 days per week (7am), welcoming guests and visitors into the building, looking after our people and making sure they come to, and leave work happily and safely. You’ll ensure that our consumables are stocked up, there’s always juice and smoothies in the fridge, and being the first point of contact for our people. You will be part of our weekly company meetings, helping the business learn from each other every Monday morning - facilitation will be exciting to you, and you will be able to flex your communication style according to the messages you share. You’ll be part of the best team in the business, embodying the innocent culture through events, surprise and delights.
  • Facilities: You will look after Fruit Towers, making sure that the building runs effectively and efficiently: from managing our maintenance contractors or changing heating elements on our toasters, to looking after our first aid and fire marshal groups. No day will look the same. You react to issues quickly to avoid downtime, and are an excellent communicator to the business when things are not working properly. You will be in charge of maintaining our grassy vans, so a driving license is essential. We’re proud of our building and the estate that we reside in, and you will play a key role in ensuring that the estate, our car parks and the exterior of the building are managed brilliantly through your communication with the estate management team.

You’ll have

  • A passion for people: you get your energy from making the work environment great, and you don’t shy away from the hard stuff. You’ll have a great organisational mindset and an ability to prioritise your workload according to the different pressures on the team.
  • You won’t need a degree, but you will need to have strong communication skills and be willing to be one of the first people that others see when they enter the building. You’ll be protective of the innocent values and behaviours, being a role model to others for what it means to work here.
  • You’ll ideally have a general idea about basic DIY skills (if you can change a door handle, that’s perfect), but a strong motivation to learn and develop is key. You’ll definitely have a creative mind.
  • A qualification in a health and safety field would be advantageous, but not required.

You’ll get

  • To be involved in organising amazing experiences for our people: Summer and End of year parties, holiday celebrations, inclusion and diversity moments of celebration/reflection.
  • You’ll also get a chance to work on exciting real estate projects here in the UK, and the possibility of working with our offices in Europe, too.
  • Finally, you’ll be a part of making working here every day a great place where people can thrive. Surprise and delights, drinks trolleys on a Thursday, open mic nights... You bring the ideas, we’ll make them happen.

We want innocent to be a great place to work, so we do lots of stuff to make people feel at home and try to make sure everyone’s career is shaping up the way they want it to. There are plenty of opportunities to have a go at something new or take things further. In exchange for helping us do business in the right way, you’ll get a solid rewards package that includes a salary, private healthcare, a target-based bonus, and a bunch of other nice things like a day off on your birthday. And yes, you get free smoothies.

We also know that not all our drinkers come from the same background, or think the same – so why should we? At innocent, we want to be a great place to work where a diverse bunch of people from all backgrounds can turn up and thrive. When we hire, we want all the juice, bits, and pulp that make you who you are.

Even if you don’t think you can tick all the boxes, if the job sounds right for you, come and throw your hat in the ring. Probably best to get your skates on though, as we might close this early if we get loads of applications.
