This role will be working directly with one of our main clients for a temporary period of 1 year to cover a period of maternity leave.

The Events and Sponsorship Specialist is responsible for assisting the Events and Sponsorship Manager with the development and implementation of the Events and Sponsorship strategy which follows the Marketing strategy (becoming leader in electrification and digital solutions) and the organisation of sponsorship and event activities to maximise the awareness of the Kia brand, with the aim of building a loyal Kia customer database, driving sales and converting prospects to next generation Kia owners.

General

  • To provide a full-service Events and Marketing resource, including assisting with strategic planning, the formulation of annual event plans, budget management, briefing of agencies and management of the event and sponsorship projects process.
  • Identify and monitor how to define success of the strategy and individual projects, provide after-event reports and implement improvement plans going forward.
  • Management and control of assigned budgets, ensuring the relevant stakeholders are aware of spend commitments and managing budget spend levels through adherence to SAP protocols.
  • Implement and manage measurement tools to record performance of each sponsorship or event activity and of the Events strategy as a whole.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning, managing and organising: The KMUK national dealer conference and the mid-year conference including venue search, creative planning, agency management and a database strategy and invite process.
  • The dealer incentive trips including a dealer communication strategy.
  • All National events and exhibitions; and organisation of all sponsorship partnerships including the Kia Oval and the Australian Open.
  • The marketing window display at the Kia dealership on Great West Road Brentford (GWR).
  • Internal events like Roadshow, Kia UK staff Springball, marketing meetings and events.
  • Responsible for the CRM and Social Strategy to amplify the impact of all sponsorship and event activities.
  • Responsible for all agency relationships regarding all sponsorship and events and to facilitate the execution of all of the above.
  • Ensure KUK are receiving a value for money service and full accountability from all suppliers and renew suppliers on a regular basis for performance and value.

Other Responsibilities/Requirements

  • Keep updated with business knowledge in Kia marketing.
  • Keep updated with industry knowledge.
  • Prepare presentations and present.
  • Maintain event stock for quality and ensure that existing stock is used where possible to strive for cost efficiencies.
  • Must be able to travel on occasions.
