Monday Friday start times vary between 12:00-16:00

Rates

• Days: £16.68 per hour
• Afternoons: £16.68 per hour plus a shift allowance of £6.69 per shift
• Saturdays: £18.04 per hour
• Sundays: £20.07 per hour

Overtime payable after 10.35 hours daily: £20.80 per hour

• Estimated weekly pay based on 50 hours: £867
• Expected annual earnings: £45,084

Duties

• Adhere to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
• Secure the load of the trailer to minimise chances of damage.
• Provide excellent customer service and take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
• Carry out multi‑drop deliveries to stores within the delivery window in a safe manner.
• Be flexible to help other Screwfix sites with store deliveries and trunking using cages, trollies and stillages.
• Take collections of empty cages/trollies back to depot.
• Report any vehicle defects to the Transport Office.
• Possess excellent customer‑facing awareness skills.
• Be a good timekeeper and be able to work unsupervised.
• Maintain an enthusiastic and reliable attitude towards delivering first‑class customer service.
• Have good communication skills and a flexible, can‑do attitude.
• Start times are between 12:00-16:00 only.

Requirements

• HGV Class 1 Cat C+E licence for a minimum of 2 years.
• Digi Tacho & CPC cards.
• Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements.
• Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD & Driver Hours).
• Good national geographical awareness.
• Excellent customer‑facing awareness skills.
• Good timekeeping and ability to work unsupervised.
• Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first‑class customer service.
• Good communication skills and a flexible, can‑do attitude.
