HGV Class 2 Driver – Plymouth
Shifts & Hours
- Full‑time: Start between 14:00 – 16:00. 5 out of 7 days per week, at least one weekend day.
- Part‑time: Start between 01:00 – 06:00, 3–4 shifts weekly.
Pay
£16.36 per hour (PAYE/holiday inclusive). Total hours 55 per week. Estimated weekly pay £939.53 (Parity PAYE). Expected annual earnings £48,855.56.
Rates:
- Pre‑Parity (Week 112) – Days: £14.60 (hol £16.36); Nights: £15.61 (hol £17.49).
- Parity (Week +13) – Days: £14.60 (hol £16.36), OT £21.29 (hol £23.85); Nights: £15.61 (hol £17.49), OT £23.42 (hol £26.24).

Key Duties
- Carry out multi‑drop deliveries across local routes.
- Conduct thorough vehicle checks before and after each shift.
- Load and unload goods safely, ensuring accuracy and care of all items.
- Adhere to driving hours, tachograph, and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Maintain excellent communication with the transport team and customers.
- Complete all delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
- Represent the company professionally at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid CPC and digital tachograph card.
- Recent experience in multi‑drop or similar driving roles preferred. New pass welcome.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and strong customer service skills.
