Role: 3.5T van driver – multi‑drop delivery for Next distribution centre in St. Albans.
Appointment: Temporary contract with permanent opportunities (12‑week rota, any 5 out of 7). Start times vary 0400‑0800. Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi‑drop delivery to high street stores (up to 15 drops per day).
- Completing post‑delivery paperwork and vehicle pre/post checks.
- Route planning and adherence to Driver Hours/Regulations (WTD).
- Deliver clothing to retail customers using click‑and‑collect.
- Report vehicle defects to Transport Office.
- Maintain excellent customer‑facing awareness.
- Work unsupervised and be a reliable, enthusiastic team player.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum age 21.
- Valid UK driving licence (at least 1 year held).
- Maximum 6 points, no major endorsements.
- Must be able to drive to work independently.
- Willingness to work weekends (rota includes weekend working).
- Knowledge of WTD & driver hours regulations.
- Good geographical awareness and communication skills.
Rates & Pay
- Hourly rate: £14.27 (0600‑2159 Mon‑Sun).
- Overtime 40+ hrs: £21.41.
- Night shift (2200‑0559 Mon‑Sun): £17.13.
- Night overtime 45+ hrs: £25.69.
- Estimated weekly pay for 55 hrs: £892 (annual £47,000).
