We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our Property & Asset Management team as an Accounts Assistant, based at our Derby office.
About the role:
- Process daily banking transactions and perform accurate bank reconciliations
- Responsible for tenant invoicing and ensuring accurate cash allocation of incoming monies
- Entering Accounts Payable invoices to the company accounting system
- Processing supplier payments by BACS
- Liaising with clients, tenants and suppliers
- Respond to written queries through shared mailbox, ensure accurate filing of correspondence
- Service charge reconciliations
- Client statement preparations and remitting funds
- VAT Reporting
- Maintain deposits & apply interest
- Prioritise workloads to meet deadlines, build effective relationships with internal departments
Full time position: 37.5 hours (9am - 5.30pm with an hour for lunch)
About you:
- Previous experience in a finance or property administration role
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting software (experience with property management systems is advantageous)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Client focused, organised, self-motivated, with ability to use own initiative
