Role Overview

Innerscope coaches work as independent contractors, sessionally, in secondary schools and other educational institutions nationwide.

Using our 5-week \’Aspire\’ coaching programme, which has been tried and tested in schools nationwide for almost a decade, Innerscope coaches will be responsible for upholding the brand\’s standards of excellence by skillfully and enthusiastically delivering the programme to the selected students in our client\’s schools.

Innerscope Student Impact Coaches commit to providing 4 hours face to face coaching per week for the duration of a 5-week programme with their allocated 16 students, who are coached in pairs for 30-minutes a session.

The successful candidate(s) will be passionate about seeing young people educated, equipped and inspired to thrive in and enjoy their school experience and beyond.

Alongside other requirements (as listed in the full outline), it is essential that successful candidates are available for training one half-day a week for 6 consecutive weeks in March/April on the same day each week. (This will take place in either London or Bedford/Luton area, dependant on day.)

Person Specification

It is essential that the successful candidate(s):

  • Have experience with and ability to relate to young people, especially between the ages of 11-16. This demographic will include marginalised students.
  • Be familiar with relevant safeguarding protocols.
  • Be passionate about education and students thriving in educational settings and beyond.
  • Be highly motivated and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Be coachable and adaptable, able to deliver from a pre-prepared framework in a way which doesn\’t appear rigid or scripted.
  • Have excellent oral communication skills.
  • Be able to travel to the London & Luton/Bedford areas specifically (a lot of our work is here.)
  • Be available for training one half-day a week for 6 consecutive weeks in March/April.

It is desirable that the successful candidate(s):

  • Be confident in lone working.
  • Have experience in education or teaching.
  • Have a degree level background or equivalent.
  • Have experience in coaching or mentoring young people in pairs/small groups.

Salary Information

Innerscope Student Impact Coaches are independent sub-contractors as opposed to employees. The candidate(s) who are successful upon application will receive paid training, details of which are available in the full overview you\’ll receive upon beginning your application here.

The candidate(s) who complete the training process and are invited to become an Innerscope Student Impact Coach will receive £150 or £300 per half day coaching session (4 hours), dependant on whether the coach delivers the training independently or alongside another trained coach. (£750 or £1500 per 5-week programme).

By going through this application process, candidates understand that if successful, they will be on Innerscope\’s books as a trained Student Impact Coach, and will be called upon for work as suitable programmes become available for that individual. Joining the team is not a guarantee of X amount of work for X days a week.
