The Role

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, solutions‑focused and collaborative Marketing and Events Coordinator. This role is to support the Head of Marketing in delivering a wide range of events, operations and client engagement activities. This pivotal position combines practical coordination with strategic operational support. The successful candidate will possess strong marketing coordination, operational excellence and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure the smooth running of marketing, events relating to various public sector entities and activities, as well as supporting initiatives around internal communications and business support functions. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will work as part of a small team. This team will work closely with a group of external suppliers and also with ICC’s People and Finance functions to ensure processes are aligned and efficient. This role will be London‑based, with opportunity for flexible working twice a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Management
    • Support the planning and delivery of corporate events, conferences, client engagements and internal functions (such as away days, quarterly gatherings, and activities that strengthen team cohesion).
    • Sourcing venues, coordinating with suppliers and managing catering arrangements.
    • Providing on‑the‑day event support and coordination.
    • Managing travel logistics and scheduling, including hotels, venues, and transport for key client meetings, conferences and internal events.
    • Coordinating the end‑to‑end delivery of roundtables, panel discussions, webinars, and similar thought leadership engagements — including speaker liaison, agenda coordination, participant communications, and logistical support.
    • Coordinating social activities and informal team‑building opportunities.
    • Liaising with partner organisations to align event objectives, logistics, and joint delivery arrangements, ensuring consistent and professional experience for all stakeholders.
    • Ensuring brand consistency across all events and engagements, working within established guidelines and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a coherent visual and communications identity.
    • Support budget monitoring and financial administration across our events programme.
  • Data and Market Intelligence
    • Work alongside our consulting teams to undertake research and produce briefs relating to public sector activities and trends.
    • Ensure that the consulting teams are informed and best equipped to discuss topical matters with their clients and contacts.
    • Produce regular Marketing packs, with supporting data, to inform Senior Leadership and the Board.
  • Internal Communications & Team Culture
    • Develop and maintain internal communication channels that work for a consultancy team who are often working remotely or on client sites.
    • Work with our consulting and enabling teams to maintain and update our Knowledge Base, ensuring information is current, accessible, and well‑organised.
    • Coordinate content for internal updates and publications (e.g. regular newsletters, videos and shout outs) to celebrate ICC’s great people and culture, and to keep the team informed of business updates, wins, and opportunities.
    • Assist with communications for internal change initiatives and policy updates.
  • Software & Tools Management
    • Manage software subscriptions and team tools, including procurement, renewals, and license allocation.
    • Administer user access and permissions, ensuring team members have the tools they need.
    • Communicate updates, changes, and guidance on software and systems usage.
    • Monitor utilisation and costs to optimise our technology stack.
  • Systems & Process Development
    • Build and refine operational processes that scale with the business.
    • Identify bottlenecks in current ways of working and devise and implement practical solutions.
    • Maintain documentation for key operational procedures to support QMS and ISO certifications.
