This long established East London firm specialises in Conveyancing (residential and commercial), Litigation, family, and private client law. Due to recent growth, they are looking for a wills & probate/private client solicitor or legal executive to join their private client team. This is a full-time position and salary will depend on experience.
You must have experience in dealing with estate administration both probate and intestacy, applying for grants of representation, dealing with related inheritance tax returns, and Will drafting and drafting of lasting powers of attorney (both finance & property and health & welfare) and Court of Protection deputyship cases.
The role will be client facing, so it is essential that you are a confident communicator with the ability to deal with clients (with sensitivity and discretion) and other staff proactively and professionally.
Duties- Advise clients on a range of private client matters, including wills, trusts, and estate administration.
- Draft and review legal documents, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct negotiations on behalf of clients to achieve favourable outcomes.
- Manage a diverse caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of client care.
- Liaise with third parties such as financial institutions, tax authorities, and other solicitors as necessary.
- Keep abreast of changes in legislation affecting private client work and implement best practices within the firm.
- Provide guidance on tax implications and strategies related to estate planning.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients' interests.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear client interactions and documentation.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with the capability to think critically under pressure.
