Role Overview
The Inn Collection Group is committed to being a best in class hospitality employer as such the People Partner role is to drive the people plan within their relevant region to deliver key business results through the recruitment, retention and development of high performing teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Work with a dedicated business region (s) to help shape and implement effective People solutions to deliver the achievement of business results
- To influence, facilitate, and consult, ensuring the people plan is both relevant and effective
To advise and coach on key talent recruitment, onboarding, induction and succession planning
- To conduct, support and advise on the appropriate processes including capability, disciplinary, grievance, TUPE, redundancy, and dismissal
- Drive a culture of high performing teams, including high engagement and performance management
- Be a coach, a supportive self starter and able to take ownership of projects from start to finish
People Talent
- To advise, coach and/or conduct recruitment for key roles within the business region (s) following the agreed approach
- To support and drive fit for peak and re-opening resourcing, to review and feedback on the plan with the Talent team
- To contribute, promote and ensure delivery of management onboarding and induction within region, holding managers to account
- To promote and engage talent into leadership/development programs such as LIB, LIO, Chef Academy, Sous Chef development Implement monthly 121 approach, evaluating site performance, coaching managers for success to drive business KPI’s
- To work with Regional Ops Director/Head of Talent to plan succession within business area(s)
- To deliver ad hoc/bitesize training on key people skills
Engagement
- Facilitate the Engagement Survey process ensuring key, comms, timeline and build are in place
- Drive engagement response rates and scores within region (s)
- Analyse and understand data, effectively communicating to key stakeholders results
- Actively promote and keep alive the Company action plan
- Keep alive site, hub and regional action plans – holding partners to account on delivery – review action plans where necessary and adapt
- Drive Communication Champion meetings to support action planning and engagement
Employee Relations
- Be the ER expert for key stakeholders within region (s)
- Manage ER cases balancing employment law, sound morale principles and commercial needs
- Ensure all cases are tracked, saved and lessons are learned via case management
- Work with sites ensuring they are trained to deal with ER cases
- Support manager accountability to address low level issues (ie absence, conduct, performance management etc)
- Support sites with ER letters and notetaking (where required)
Other
- To provide advice, training and development to colleagues in respect of Company policies and employment legislation.
- Keep up to date with employment/market changes, write and review people policies as and when required
- Own people compliance for your region (s) such as right to work, national minimum wage working time directive
- Manage and utilise all People systems and data, with emphasis on key people data KPI’s understanding the correlation between people metrics and business performance. Analyse and challenge the data
- Understand and manage the approach to pay and benefits, advising on market changes, able to benchmark, negotiate and advise.
- Deliver key initiatives such as Wellbeing Strategy, System launches, DEI, Recognition as per people plan
- Be an ambassador of the ICG culture and ways of working
