This role is fieldâbased across the stunning landscapes from the Lake District to North Wales, covering a variety of lakes, hills, and open countryside. You'll travel between multiple sites across the region, carrying out maintenance and ensuring facilities run smoothly.
You'll Fit Right Inn
We are a pubs with rooms business operating with over 30 properties ranging from 10 to 100 bedrooms, grouped into three core regions. We are seeking a Regional Maintenance Manager to oversee, plan and direct all repairs and preventative maintenance activities across multiple locations within the region to maximise equipment uptime and operational safety.
Key duties include mentoring onâsite maintenance teams, controlling budgets, ensuring compliance (health & safety, fire safety), and managing contractors. As well as being responsible for developing maintenance strategies, conducting site audits, and implementing improvements.
As a key member of the facilities team, we will look to this role to lead positive change, a handsâon approach, an appropriate sense of urgency, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Requirements
- Exceptional people management skills, with an ability to engage both site General Managers and Maintenance colleagues, driving clarity of message, motivation, prioritisation and direction.
- Previous experience in a senior maintenance role, ideally managing/overseeing multiple sites.
- IT literacy â proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and maintenance management systems.
- Relevant technical expertise â strong knowledge and physical attributes of trade maintenance, including joinery, electrical, plumbing, tiling, plastering, painting, roofing and groundworks.
- Qualifications â NVQ or equivalent within trades is required.
- Great communication skills â both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Maintenance Management: Implementing and overseeing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules, identifying improvements, and ensuring highâquality, costâeffective maintenance operations.
- Relationship Building: Working in partnership with site General Managers to ensure effective maintenance operations, in line with wider business needs.
- Team Leadership: Engaging, overseeing and mentoring siteâbased maintenance teams.
- Training: Identifying skills gaps and training site maintenance to develop skill set.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensuring all sites meet health & safety, fire safety, and environmental regulations through audits and documentation checks.
- Budgeting: Managing and controlling maintenance budgets, managing contractor relationships, and ensuring repairs are completed within budget and on time.
