Overview
In this role, you will guide Berlin and global leadership on German labor law, payroll, and People operations to support the Native Instruments integration into the inMusic group. You will serve as the primary liaison with the Berlin Works Council and coordinate with legal, payroll, and finance teams to ensure compliant people practices. You will lead organizational change, workforce planning, and cross-border collaboration to enable smooth integration and business continuity. You will shape people strategy in a complex stakeholder environment and partner with global leaders to mitigate risk and enable growth.
Responsibilities
- Advise leadership on German employment law, HR compliance, employee relations, restructures, and performance management.
- Serve as the primary People contact for Berlin Works Council interactions including consultation, coordination, documentation, and escalation support.
- Partner with legal counsel and senior leadership on labor relations strategy and risk mitigation.
- Support accurate and compliant German payroll processing with People Operations and Finance.
- Coordinate with third-party payroll providers (e.g., ADP) to resolve payroll queries and ensure compliance.
- Support post-acquisition integration, organizational design, workforce planning, and change-management initiatives.
- Coach managers on employee relations, communication, engagement, and consistent application of People policies.
- Collaborate with People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, and business leaders across Germany, Europe, and the U.S.
Key requirements
- Strong experience as HR Business Partner, Senior HR Manager, Employee Relations lead, or similar role supporting German employees.
- Practical knowledge of German employment and labor law, including Works Council processes and co-determination.
- Familiarity with German payroll processing, payroll controls, and related compliance.
- Experience with third-party payroll providers, ideally including ADP.
- Experience advising senior stakeholders through change, transformation, integration, or restructuring.
- Ability to represent company interests professionally while maintaining constructive employee representative relationships.
- Fluent German and English communication, with strong judgment, discretion, and stakeholder-management capability.
