Overview
InMusic seeks an experienced European HR leader to advise the US executive team on employment, payroll, employee relations, and people operations across Europe. You will balance strategic counsel with hands-on operational ownership, focusing on Germany, the UK, and Bulgaria while navigating multiple jurisdictions. This role partners with senior leadership to ensure compliance, manage risk, and drive business objectives. You will work across cultures to shape people strategy in a fast-moving, international environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the principal European people and employment adviser to executive leadership
- Advise on employment law, organizational change, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and risk mitigation
- Translate complex legal and labor issues into actionable business guidance
- Partner with internal and external legal counsel on employment matters
- Lead employee relations and labor relations across Europe
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations in Germany, the UK, and Bulgaria and ensure compliant documentation
- Maintain local HR policies aligning with regulations
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and organizational changes
- Oversee payroll operations and coordinate with external providers and finance
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise on risks and obligations
- Support audits, reporting, and regulatory inquiries
- Develop practical frameworks for managing employment risk while enabling growth
Key requirements
- 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Experience supporting operations across multiple European countries
- Strong understanding of German employment law and practices
- Experience managing payroll directly or with providers
- Experience handling complex employee relations matters
- Experience advising senior executives
- Fluent English (written and verbal)
