As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in providing person‑centred care to our inpatients. Working collaboratively with our multi‑disciplinary teams, you will typically be the Responsible Clinician for and manage a caseload of 14-16 patients on a low secure female ward, ensuring they receive comprehensive and effective mental health support. In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to autonomously lead teaching sessions and provide supervision for Specialty Doctors and staff.
Main duties of the job:
- Provide high-quality clinical care for inpatients.
- Manage a caseload of 14-16 patients.
- Work autonomously and contribute to teaching sessions and supervision.
- Collaborate with a well‑established multi‑disciplinary team which includes ward manager, OT, psychologist, Specialty Doctor, physical health practitioner and RMNs.
- Participate in an on‑call rota.

Experience:
- Full GMC registration
- Psychiatry experience within multi‑disciplinary teams
- Doctor experience in a similar environment
- MRCPsych or equivalent
- Section 12 approval
