Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site teaching role based in Cheltenham. The position involves planning and delivering engaging English language lessons to learners of varying ages and proficiency levels, using up-to-date teaching methods and inlingua’s established approaches. The teacher will prepare lesson materials, assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of attendance and achievement. Responsibilities include contributing to curriculum development, supporting exam and assessment preparation, and participating in staff meetings, training, and school events. The role also involves fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment and helping learners integrate into the wider school and local community.

Qualifications

• Strong teaching and education experience, with a background in English language instruction or related fields.
• Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development, with the ability to adapt materials to different levels and learning goals.
• Excellent communication skills, including clear spoken and written English and effective classroom interaction.
• Relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., TEFL, CELTA, DELTA, PGCE, or equivalent) and a bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, English, or a related discipline.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a professional approach to classroom management and student welfare.
• Experience with modern teaching technologies and digital learning tools is an advantage.
• Prior experience teaching in international language schools or similar settings is beneficial.
