Graphic Designer - MUST have email experience.

Inlights. io – Manchester (Hybrid: 2 days in studio, 3 days WFH)

Design & build personalised email campaigns for some of the UK’s biggest brands.

About Inlights

Inlights is a Manchester-based email agency specialising in personalised email experiences.

We turn customer data into personalised images, animations and campaign assets, built specifically for email and CRM.

Our work appears in inboxes for brands including Dr. Martens, Hotel Chocolat, Manchester United, Omaze, Halfords and Boden, reaching millions of customers globally.

The Role

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who can design & build emails within platforms such as Klaviyo, Ometria, Braze, Bloomreach, Emarsys etc.

You do not need experience in every platform we use.

You MUST have worked in at least one CRM platform (Klaviyo, Emarsys, Ometria, Salesforce, Braze etc) and be comfortable learning others.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Designing attention grabbing emails including layouts, campaign assets and production-ready email creative across multiple clients and brands.
  • Building emails using table-based layouts across a range of ESPs.
  • Creating personalised hero images and name-in-scene visuals in Photoshop including animated GIFs optimised for email clients.
  • Uploading, editing and testing campaigns in different ESP environments.
  • Checking emails for rendering, links, spelling, layout issues and brand consistency.
  • Adapting designs to fit different brand guidelines across a varied client base.
  • Making amends based on feedback while keeping work accurate and on-brand.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience designing emails or digital campaign assets.
  • Experience using at least one ESP, such as Klaviyo, Braze, Emarsys, Ometria or similar.
  • Strong Photoshop skills with the ability to create animated GIFs.
  • A portfolio showing email work, digital design work or email builds.
  • Good attention to detail across layout, typography, links, QA and brand consistency.
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience using Figma.
  • Working knowledge of HTML email development, specifically table-based layouts and email client constraints.
  • Knowledge of smart objects and actions in Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with block based or basic templating logic in ESPs.
  • Any exposure to personalisation or dynamic content in email.
  • Agency experience or experience working across more than one brand.

Experience Level

We’re not expecting someone who knows everything, but we do need someone with real hands-on experience of designing and coding emails.

We care more about what you’ve actually built than how long you’ve been doing it.

  • What This Role Is Not
  • This is not a senior creative strategy role. You won’t be leading brand decisions or owning client relationships from day one.
  • You do not need experience with our internal personalisation tools. That’s something you’ll learn on the job once you’re up to speed with the core templating and build work.
  • Working at Inlights
  • Hybrid: 2 days in our Manchester studio, 3 days working from home.
  • Close-knit team.
  • Your work will be seen in real inboxes, for real brands.
  • More responsibility as you grow into the role.
  • Opportunity to develop specialist skills in email design, HTML development and personalised image production.
