• About Ink Illusions

Ink Illusions is a specialist paramedical tattooing clinic and training academy based in London Liverpool Street.

We specialise in advanced scar and stretch mark treatments, including MCA Inkless Tattooing and skin tone camouflage.

We are now building a strong, reliable clinical team capable of operating and growing the London clinic as the founder prepares to relocate to Dubai towards the end of 2027 or early 2028.

This is not simply a treatment role.

It is a structured career development opportunity for someone who wants to become an excellent paramedical practitioner, contribute to the growth of Ink Illusions and potentially progress into a senior practitioner or clinic management position.

• Who This Opportunity Is For
• Hold a recognised Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification or higher.
• Have at least 12 months of active, hands‑on client experience within PMU or Beauty.
• Are a previous Ink Illusions student who has been actively treating clients for at least 12 months and can provide a suitable portfolio.

Applications are welcomed from beauty therapists, PMU practitioners and previous Ink Illusions students at different stages of their careers.

Previous qualifications and experience will be taken into consideration.

However, all successful candidates must complete the Ink Illusions induction, training and competency pathway before independently carrying out paramedical treatments for our clients.

Previous training elsewhere will not automatically result in approval to treat independently.

Availability and Long‑Term Commitment

The role will begin on a limited part‑time basis while the successful candidate completes induction, specialist training and mentoring.

The intention is for working hours to increase as clinical competence, responsibilities and client demand develop.

Applicants must be realistically available to progress to approximately

3–5 days per week within six months , whether on a substantial part‑time or full‑time basis.

• You Must Also Be Prepared To Work
• At least two weekend days per month.
• Additional weekends where mutually agreed and required by clinic demand.
• Flexible clinic days as the role develops.

We are looking for someone who wants to build a long‑term career within Ink Illusions.

This role is unlikely to suit someone whose main priority is developing or maintaining a competing clinic or separate independent business.

Initial Clinic Familiarisation and Assessment

Shortlisted candidates will initially be invited to attend a clinic familiarisation and mutual assessment visit.

• Meet in person and experience the clinic environment.
• Understand the realities of the role.
• Discuss the training and progression pathway.
• Observe how the clinic operates.
• Decide whether the environment and long‑term commitment feel right for you.

It also allows us to assess communication, professionalism, attitude, reliability and team fit before either side makes a longer‑term commitment.

This initial assessment visit is not a working shift and no productive clinical work will be expected. Agreed reasonable travel expenses will be covered.

If both sides wish to continue, the candidate will progress to the paid induction and development stage.

Paid Induction and Development Stage

Following a successful assessment, agreed clinic attendance will be paid at £15 per hour.

• Initial Responsibilities May Include
• Learning Ink Illusions systems, policies and clinic standards.
• Observing clinic and client workflows.
• Preparing and resetting treatment rooms after instruction.
• Maintaining an exceptionally clean, organised and professional environment.
• Assisting with patch‑test preparation.
• Preparing student training kits and clinic materials.
• Filing and organising documentation.
• Booking parcels and preparing labels.
• Logging new enquiries accurately onto internal spreadsheets.
• Supporting stock organisation and scheduled stock checks.
• Documenting processes for the clinic operations manual.
• Supporting basic social media or digital tasks where appropriate.
• Using Outlook, Word, Excel, Canva, Cap Cut, Chat GPT and other systems as required.

Clinical enquiries can be complex. You will not be expected to advise clients or answer treatment questions before completing the appropriate training.

Although this is a clinical development role, every team member is expected to support the practical running of the clinic.

Cleaning, organisation, room resets, stock, filing, parcels and kit preparation are genuine parts of the role and must be approached with the same professionalism as client treatments.

Clinical Training Pathway

The aim is to progress suitable candidates into revenue‑generating clinical work as soon as they can do so safely, competently and to the required standard.

Stage One: MCA Inkless Tattooing

Following successful induction and confirmation that the role is suitable from both sides, the first specialist pathway will normally be the Ink Illusions CPD‑accredited MCA Inkless Tattooing course.

• This Will Include
• Online theory.
• Practical training.
• Supervised and mentored treatments.
• Competency assessment.
• Progression to independent treatments only when formally approved.

The course is intentionally positioned first because it allows suitable candidates to begin treating and contributing to clinic revenue sooner than starting with a much longer regulated qualification.

There is no automatic right to progress after completing a course.

Independent treating begins only when the candidate consistently meets Ink Illusions’ clinical, hygiene, consultation and client‑care standards.

Stage Two: Full Scar and Stretch Mark Camouflage

After developing suitable clinical experience in Inkless Tattooing, the candidate may progress to full scar and stretch mark camouflage training.

• This stage will normally follow several months of clinical development and will depend on:
• Technical competence.
• Reliability and attendance.
• Client care.
• Professional conduct.
• Treatment results.
• Ability to follow protocols.
• Contribution to the clinic.
• Long‑term commitment.
• Further Regulated Training

For exceptional candidates who demonstrate sustained commitment and capability, there may later be an opportunity to progress through regulated Level 4 and Level 5 paramedical tattooing qualifications.

These are significant, longer‑term training programmes and are not provided automatically at the beginning of the role.

• All Sponsored Training Is
• Released in stages.
• Performance‑based.
• Subject to business requirements.
• Subject to a separate written training and retention agreement.

Full terms will be provided and agreed before any sponsored training begins.

Pay and Commission Progression

During agreed paid clinic hours, the initial rate will be: £15 per hour.

Once approved to carry out treatments, the candidate may also receive

• 15% commission on treatments completed for clients provided by Ink Illusions.
• Up to 30% commission where the practitioner personally introduces and converts the client, subject to the written commission terms.

Commission begins only when the practitioner is authorised to treat and the relevant treatment has been completed and paid for.

Pay, hours, commission and contractual status will be confirmed in writing before the paid stage begins.

Existing Treatment Qualifications

Candidates who are already qualified and insured to provide other appropriate beauty, skin or PMU treatments may have the opportunity to offer these within the clinic.

• Be approved by Ink Illusions.
• Fit the clinic’s brand, standards and business requirements.
• Be carried out only after any required competency assessment.
• Potential Progression into Clinic Management

For the right person, this pathway can develop well beyond carrying out treatments.

• Coordinating practitioners and schedules.
• Maintaining clinical standards.
• Overseeing stock, orders and clinic supplies.
• Supporting enquiries, bookings and consultations.
• Managing client concerns professionally.

• Supporting and mentoring future junior team members.
• Acting as a trusted point of contact when the founder is not in the UK.
• Contributing actively to the continued growth of Ink Illusions.

Progression into management is not compulsory for every successful practitioner, but applicants interested in leadership and responsibility are strongly encouraged.

Training can be provided in systems and software, but applicants must be willing and able to learn quickly.

Performance and Progression

Movement through the pathway is not based simply on time served.
