We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fraud Strategy Manager to join our dynamic crypto company. As Strategy Manager, Fraud for Kraken, you will play a crucial role in managing Kraken products, including P2P, Third-Party Payments, the Kraken Debit Card and any new business requirements. You will own and deliver approval and decline rate reviews, fraud levels, and the optimisation of messaging to ensure the best outcomes for both the business and our clients, while minimising friction.
You will be responsible for supporting development and implementation, optimising fraud controls and fraud rates across all Kraken products to increase revenue, keep fraud within company thresholds, and ensure a smooth and secure environment for our users.
The opportunity includes:
- Leading on banking, card issuing regulations, and fraud prevention.
- Delivering business requirements working closely with the product & engineering teams.
- Controlling, monitoring, and analysing Kraken fraud trends.
- Monitoring and analysing payment trends.
- Creating and maintaining effective fraud and payment policies, processes, strategies, and rule frameworks.
- Developing and implementing fraud prevention strategies.
- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential Kraken fraud and payment risks.
- Supporting business growth and compliance controls.
- Developing and maintaining robust Kraken fraud detection systems and tools.
- Partnering with Customer Engagement, Compliance, Legal, and other internal teams.
- Utilising data analytics tools and techniques to extract meaningful insights.
- Staying abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry guidelines.
- Providing guidance, mentorship, and training to team members.
- Delivering clear and actionable business reporting.
- Providing guidance and support to internal teams on best practices.
Skills You Should HODL:
- Proven experience (7+ years) in banking, payment processing management, and fraud controls.
- Proficiency in fraud and payment optimisation strategies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent SQL, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience with Card acquiring, Third Party, Peer2Peer payments, banking regulatory requirements and Fraud controls.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving industry.
- Flexible, adaptive, and self-managed, with a strong team mindset.
