About Ink Digital
Ink Digital is a growing digital marketing agency based in Brentwood. We work across SEO, PPC, paid social, web and CRM, and we’re big on being practical, commercial, and doing work that properly moves the needle.
The opportunity
This is a hands-on role with real influence. You’ll lead PPC and paid media delivery across our client base, mentor the existing PPC team, and help shape what “great” looks like here, from processes and standards to reporting and how we package and grow retainers. There’s a clear progression path into a Head of Paid Media role as the department grows.
What you’ll be doing
- Strategy and delivery
- Own performance across Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display, YouTube where relevant)
- Plan, build and optimise campaigns end to end
- Run audits and turn them into clear action plans (quick wins plus longer-term improvements)
- Improve account structure, testing frameworks, and account hygiene across the board
- Support paid social where needed (typically Meta, and sometimes LinkedIn depending on the client)
- Reporting, insight and measurement
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards (Looker Studio)
- Turn results into insights clients actually understand (not just charts)
- Work closely with SEO and web to improve tracking and measurement (GA4, GTM, conversion tracking, landing page performance)
- Spot opportunities for CRO improvements and better funnel performance
- Clients and commercial growth
- Lead PPC onboarding for new clients and set expectations properly from day one
- Join key client calls and confidently steer performance conversations
- Identify growth opportunities within accounts (new campaign types, landing pages, new markets, better budget allocation)
- Support the commercial side of PPC: forecasting, budgeting, and building retainers that make sense for both sides
- Team and department building
- Coach and upskill the current PPC team, raising the standard over time
- Create and improve internal processes, QA checks, templates and playbooks
- Help shape hiring plans as the department grows
- Bring ideas to improve how we sell and deliver PPC, without it becoming fluffy or over-complicated
About you
- Commercially minded and care about outcomes, not platform activity for the sake of it
- Take ownership and follow through without needing chasing
- Enjoy mentoring others and raising standards
- Can explain performance clearly to clients, including when results dip and what the plan is
- Like building things properly, process, templates, playbooks, not just firefighting
Experience we’re looking for
- Must have
- 3+ years PPC experience (agency side)
- Strong Google Ads experience across Search, Shopping and Performance Max
- Confident with GA4 and comfortable working with GTM (or closely alongside someone who is)
- Experience building reporting in Looker Studio (or similar)
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Nice to have
- Microsoft Ads experience
- Meta ads experience (and ideally some LinkedIn exposure)
- Feed and Merchant Centre experience
- Experience working alongside SEO and web teams to improve landing page performance
- HubSpot experience (useful, not essential)
Benefits
- Flexible working hours (8:30 to 5:00 or 9:00 to 5:30)
- Summer working hours
- Hybrid working: 3 days office, 2 days WFH (with flexibility when needed)
- Office closed over Christmas (in addition to annual leave)
- Annual summer and Christmas socials
- Ongoing training and development
- Rapid progression opportunities as the department grows
- Free access to Headspace Business therapy support
- 1 extra holiday per year of service (capped at 5)
- A free day off for your birthday
