With three rehabilitation centres and a regional hub now established in the UK, the Injured Jockeys Fund is a charity whose vision and mission is to improve the lives of injured jockeys, past and present, and their families. This is an exciting role, based at Peter O’Sullevan House in Newmarket, for a creative and dynamic Marketing Communications Executive to join our passionate and dedicated team. This is a brilliant opportunity to work within a unique environment dedicated to the rehabilitation and wellbeing of injured jockeys and beneficiaries.

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.

As a key member of our Marketing Team, you will:

  • Support the delivery of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, helping us reach and inspire our audiences.
  • Create engaging content for social media, websites, newsletters and press activity, as well as producing eye-catching marketing materials using tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Ensure our website is up to date, support internal communications, and play a key role in maintaining our marketing databases and campaign records.
  • Draft and schedule social media posts, monitoring engagement, producing copy for blogs and email campaigns, and assisting with photography, video and design tasks.
  • Support event planning and coordination, both online and in person, and help prepare basic analytics reports to track performance to inform future activity.
  • Uphold our values, including equality, diversity and inclusion, ensure compliance with GDPR, and contribute positively to a wide range of projects across the organisation.

About You:

  • Experience working in a marketing, communications, or digital role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create engaging content for different audiences and channels.
  • Good understanding of digital marketing principles, including social media and email marketing.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and basic design or content tools.
  • Experience producing written content (e.g. blogs, social posts, newsletters).
  • Experience using social media platforms in a professional context.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress).
  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills.
  • Understanding of analytics tools such as Google Analytics or social media insights.
  • Knowledge of brand management principles.
  • Experience supporting events or campaigns.
